Short O

Description

This playground focusses on the short o vowel sound in CVC words. There are 9 rooms to practise the short o sound, starting with a simple matching words to pictures exercise and getting progressively harder. The activities include first and last sounds, matching words to audios, spelling, matching rhyming words and sorting word families, I Spy with peel off pictures, matching pictures and sentences (both written and audios), word ladders, constructing sentences and a game of Connect 4. The playground finishes on the top level with a dice game to have one last practice of reading all the words. Please note that the video is of the Short A playground but the screenshots are Short O.
