All Aboard to the Zoo

Description

All aboard! Land on the very top grassy area and follow the path to the Train depot. Descend the steps to the second floor. Stop for coffee and a sandwich at the depot shops. Then get your tickets to board and "ride" along the winding scenic view. Stop at the mountains to find the deer and mountain goats before entering the tunnels. Stop off at the ticket booth to purchase your zoo tickets and descend to the third floor to visit the zoo animals. Hop around the clock and practice telling time just outside the monkey's house. Head on down to the bottom (fourth) floor to the aquarium and penguin house. Head to South Beach for a swim and a snack, or watch the whales on the other side of the room. There are no letter tiles or classrooms in this playground. There could be lots of lessons taught here about animals, trains, telling time, hide and seek, etc. Go on a treasure hunt to see how many animals you can find! Dive off into the "ocean" and land back on the very top level for a game of Bingo, Four in a Row, or Connect the Dots. Type your words, sentences, and test questions on sticky notes to coordinate with your lessons.
