Immerse your students into this festive playground to celebrate the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival, which falls on September 29 this year. As your students walk around this playground, they will see Chang’e in the moon, Hou Yi shooting the 9 suns, the Jade rabbit, and lots of yummy mooncakes! There are lots of blank walls and Chinese inspired boards to put your own content in. Some ideas would be to use blank mooncakes and put words to practice reading/phonics, or even math problems, write the origin story on the boards, ask comprehension questions, give a themed writing prompt, learn how to make a mooncake and some of the ingredients you need….There are so many possibilities.
