Description
This is the 2nd in a 5 part series of Phonemic and Phonological Awareness Intervention Activities. This set of activities focuses on Syllable Level Phonemic Awareness (Preschool-Kindergarten) skills including: Blending — Blend syllables into whole words. “Blend these two syllables together ‘pi’ + ‘lot’ = ‘pilot’.” Segmenting — Breaking words into syllables. “Clap the syllables in Robert’s name ‘Ro’ – ‘bert’.” Deletion — Delete a syllable from a word. “Say ‘today’ without the ‘to’ = ‘day’.” This intervention series is also associated with an 11 part phonemic awareness series focusing on specific sounds (found in the Marketplace).
