Literacy Classroom 8: An Advanced Vowel Team Template

Literacy Classroom 8 is designed to teach advanced vowel teams. The Koala Go whiteboard slides and playground contain letter tiles, illustrations, review tools and activities, and games. This template has been reviewed by Susan Barton for copyright compliance and is compatible with the Barton Reading & Spelling System. However, you must provide your own instructional content. NO copyrighted Barton curriculum content is included, including Barton’s spelling rule names and definitions. To build Barton lessons with this template, you MUST already own the Barton System, as the lessons are NOT prebuilt. This template serves as a framework with which to build your own lessons using your own curriculum. Because the Barton system is cumulative, this Koala Go template requires graphics from previous Literacy Classrooms to build lessons for this level with comprehensive visual aids. The playground has designated spaces for instructional content and spelling and reading words, phrases, sentences, and sight words. This template also includes three new games that can be played on the whiteboards slides or in the playground. It also includes Quad Connect in the playground (from Literacy Classroom 7) and a playground fluency run. Literacy Classroom 8: An Advanced Vowel Team Template is compatible with structured Orton-Gillingham-based programs that teach English syllable types. Use this Koala Go classroom template to build master copies of each lesson in a level, which you can then copy for each new student. TEACHER TIP: Build all lesson procedures in both the whiteboard slides and the playground so you have the flexibility to do any procedure in either space as needed with students.
